The village Skado Naxos, officially "Skado" is Greek village of Naxos municipality Naxos and Small Cyclades Naxos Regional Unity Region N. Aegean (in Figure Kallikratis). 

Formerly owned by the former province of Cyclades Naxos. From 1999 to 2010, according to the then administrative division of Greece was the seat of the municipality Drymalia community. From January 1, 2011 is based on its own local community of the same name, the municipal unit Drymalia, municipality Naxos and Small Cyclades. 
It is a small village located in the NE. mountainous Naxos. It is situated on the eastern slopes of the krona and is about 34 km from Naxos Town. Is the next village from Koronos Naxos and on the eastern road Keramotis Cross-Apollo Naxos and is included in emery of Naxos. Since 1955 numbered 615 inhabitants (including the village Avg Naxos) had telegraph and elementary school. The sacred temple of the village is dedicated to the Assumption. In the last census (2001) counts only 126 inhabitants course Summer is multiple. A large part of the buildings of the village has been abandoned. In Skado is also private folklore museum. 

The village's name comes from the other in rich shade trees, and on this "umbels" Skado, according to others from the ancient word tinder (= fig) and on this "iskado" Skado, the large number of such trees cultivated in the region. Today many cultivated vines. Residents called Skadiotes - Skadiotisses. 
The road Koronos - Skado - Middle although not unusual gradients but requires special attention because many narrow and restricted speeds.
